Dancing Freedom: An Ecstatic Dance Experience

Coming together in community and dancing in solidarity, is a powerful way to raise the vibration and counteract all that’s happening in our world.  

We welcome you join us for an evening of sacred movement, heart-opening cacao, and sound healing as we raise the vibration and call more peace into our lives, our communities and our world. 

Within our beautiful, high-ceiling studio and outside under the stars in Holy Ground’s hidden garden, we’ll gather for a special journey led and DJed by Ecstatic Dance LA co-founder, Atasiea.  

Dancing Freedom is a conscious dance modality that combines Ecstatic Dance with a facilitated journey crafted to help emotions move through your body and unlock stuck energy and trauma. Atasiea will guide us through this alchemical journey using music, meditation, spoken word, dance and invocation as gateways for celebration, catharsis, and liberation.

🍵 We’ll open with a grounding circle and prayer for safety, shelter and abundance for all beings that will flow into a cacao ceremony to awaken the heart.  

🎶 From there, Atasiea takes us on an ecstatic dance journey—a soulful, high-vibe experience inviting full self-expression and freedom. 

🥣 We'll close with a soothing sound journey to integrate the evening and leave you feeling blissfully relaxed and at peace.

What is Ecstatic Dance?

Ecstatic Dance affords us the opportunity to come together to express any and all emotions that are present through a kaleidoscope of sounds. Movement and dance acts as forms of moving meditation, allowing individuals to process emotions, release stress, connect deeply with their bodies, and experience a sense of connection with others.

People of all ages and walks of life go to ecstatic dance. All beliefs, shapes, sizes, races, and genders are welcome here.

Guidelines for Ecstatic Dance:
This is SUBSTANCE FREE space!
No Drugs or Alcohol.
No talking on the dance floor.
No cell phones, no photos, no posting.
No shoes — it’s more fun that way anyways.
Be free to dance how you want (no judgements).
Consent. If it’s not a clear yes, it’s a no.

Why do we have guidelines?

We have found that these guidelines support a container where people feel safe to express themselves and have truly transformational experiences.

Also!  We’ll be starting the Cacao Ceremony promptly at 7:30pm and ask everyone to allow for time for parking and arrive on time — we’ll keep the doors open until 8:00pm for those running a bit late.
